Two Oktavijans for Kinorama's films Two Oktavijans for Kinorama's films

At just ended film festival Dani hrvatskog filma, Croatian Association of Film Critics awarded two Kinorama's films with Oktavijan award. The films in question are: short film From To directed by Miranda Herceg for the best experimental film, and short animated film for opening credits of fiction film Koko and the Ghosts animated by Alen Vukovic. The screenplay is written by film's director Daniel Kusan, the lead animator is Alen Vukovic and author of the artistic solution is Booboo. The 3D2D studio produced this awarded film opening sequence.

First day of the filming TV series First day of the filming TV series

Today we started the shooting of TV series "Sunday Morning, Saturday Evening" produced by both Kinorama and B produkcija for Croatian Radiotelevision. The director of the humoristic series is Predrag Licina, and the comedy is located in Novi Zagreb. The protagonists are four young people whos main talent is constant falling into ridiculously funny situations.

Daddy in Italy Daddy in Italy

From 17th till 21st April Lecce European Film Festival was held in Italy. Amongst others, the festival programme also included our feature film Daddy directed by Dalibor Matanic. At the same film festival, Matanic's previous film Kino Lika won the Grand prix award Golden Olive Tree.

Koko in Italy Koko in Italy

The third edition of Vittorio Veneto Film Festival was held for children 18 to 21 April in Vittorio Veneto (TV). The festival invited our children's film Koko and the Ghosts directed by Daniel Kusan. The VVFilmF counts on a strong and influential collaboration with Rai Cinema, Rai-Radio 2 and the direction and organization of the Venice International Film Festival.

Koko in Los Angeles Koko in Los Angeles

Croatian cinematography will be on show at the Aero Theatre in Los Angeles from 13 to 15 April. The series to be shown titled "New Croatian Films", includes the blockbuster family adventure film Koko and the ghosts, directed by Daniel Kusan.The films will be shown in cooperation with the Croatian Consulate in Los Angeles, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Croatian Audiovisual Centre and supported by ELMA (European Languages and Movies in America).

Children's film directed by Daniel Kusan Koko and the Ghosts was invited and screened in international competition at 21st Cairo International Film Festival for Children. This year's edition lasted from 23rd untill 30th March.

Short fiction film directed by Dalibor Matanic Mezzanine today has been screened at Fribourg International Film Festival. Mezzanine is the third story of a 6/6 omnibus about six apparently different young women who live at geographically different locations in apparently different circumstances, but share the world of intimacy we sink into.

The Room in MoMA The Room in MoMA

The Museum of Modern Art and the Film Society of Lincoln Center included our short animated film The Room directed by Ivana Juric in the 41st edition of New Directors/New Films.

ND/NF has showcased the work of emerging artists for over 40 years, and continues to celebrate the most innovative voices in filmmaking.
New Directors has earned an international reputation as the premier festival for work that breaks or re-casts the cinematic mold, and is dedicated to the discovery and support of emerging artists. It is non-competitive, yet highly selective – only 29 features and a dozen shorts have been shown this year and all films must be New York premieres.

Animated film The Room is a stop-motion animation that explores sensuality and sex through the eyes of a doll. The film was screened on 24th and 25th of March in shorts program.

The Room bought by ARTE The Room bought by ARTE

Our short animated film The Room directed by Ivana Juric wins another recognition. Film was bought by French-German renown TV channel ARTE which in the category of new directors selects only five or six film titles per year. The Room has been screened yesterday in the Court-Circuit programme. The film is currently included on the ARTE's official web site 'La télévision de rattrapage' - catch up TV.

Mezzanine invited in Ankara Mezzanine invited in Ankara

Ankara International Film Festival has chosen our short film Mezzanine directed by Dalibor Matanic amongst 19 international shorts to be part of the Short Without Limits programme. The festival will run for the 23rd time this year from the 15th to 22nd of March 2012.

Mezzanine in Lithuania Mezzanine in Lithuania

The jury of the Lithuanian Vilnius International Film Festival Kino Pavasaris selected the film Mezzanine directed by Dalibor Matanic in the contest programme. Festival is taking place in the Lithuanian capital city of Vilnius from 15th untill 29th March. Kino Pavasaris is the biggest and most important cinema event in Lithuania. The festival is witnessing an increase in attendance, which was over 64.000 in the last year's 16th edition.

Koko at 15th Montréal International Children's Film Festival Koko at 15th Montréal International Children's Film Festival

Our children's fiction film Koko and the Ghosts directed by Daniel Kusan will be shown at renowned Montréal International Children's Film Festival. Screenings of the film are programmed for today and tomorrow, and film be presented to the Montreal audience by the director Daniel Kusan.

The FIFEM offers over 50 of the best movies for children: comedies, drama and animation from the four corners of the globe, not to mention film education workshops and meetings and autograph sessions with actors and directors. Target audience of the festival are children from 2 to 12 years, and each year festival is visited by 15 000 viewers.

Festival International du Film d’Amour de Mons ended today and in that sense concluded the festival programme which included, amongst others, our film Mother of Asphalt. The director of the film Dalibor Matanic presented it himself.

Koko and the Ghosts in Britain Koko and the Ghosts in Britain

Our children's film Koko and the Ghosts is chosen to participate at the English children's festival in Lancaster. Festival dates are from 15th untill 18th of February.

Lancaster Children’s Film Festival’s mission is to engage, entertain and educate children about films and filmmaking.
Aimed at young people of all ages, the festival features a packed programme of films, workshops and special events held at venues all across Lancaster. The films shown range from shorts to live action and animated features, including some classic family favourites and international screenings.

Mezzanine, the short fiction film directed by Dalibor Matanic, is invited to participate at te annual short film festival Psarokokalo where it will be presented today and tomorrow in the capital city of Greece - Athens. The festival program includes screenings of short films from Greece and abroad as well as audiovisual events, masterclasses, exhibitions and live concerts.

Daddy at French FIPA Biarritz film festival Daddy at French FIPA Biarritz film festival

The film Daddy directed by Dalibor Matanic will be screened today at French FIPA Biarritz film festival. Last year's edition awarded the previous Matanic's film Mother of Asphalt with three awards: for the best film, winning FIPA d'or in drama section; Marija Skaricic was awarded best actress and Jura Ferina and Pavao Miholjevic won FIPA d'or for the best original soundtrack. In that respect, Mother of Asphalt was the apsolute winner of the festival.
